The Académie d'exploration center is located in the heart of the Evangeline region. This French-speaking center boasts a strong, dynamic team. The team also offers activities on specific subjects accessible to all age groups in the form of joint projects, as well as personalized planning for each class.
The Cap enfants centre offers programs and services for families who want to help their children's development and well-being. You'll find a variety of free activities that your little ones will love! Games, songs, crafts and more!
École Évangéline is the region's French-language school. It was the first francophone school established on PEI, and opened its doors in 1960. It welcomes students from elementary (kindergarten) to grade 12 and offers quality education in French.

Collège de l'Île is a French-language post-secondary institution that trains the employees of today and tomorrow. A variety of different programs are offered, and the content of Collège's courses and programs is developed with the needs of the workplace in mind. Collège students apply their skills through practical work and internships.
RDÉE Île-du-Prince-Édouard Inc. is Prince Edward Island's provincial francophone economic development council. It offers support services in entrepreneurial and community economic development, and carries out a wide range of economic development and employability projects and initiatives.

La Coopérative Le Chez-Nous Ltée is a community care facility for seniors. The facility includes 42 single rooms and 3 double rooms, accommodating a total of 48 residents. In addition, Le Chez-Nous has 12 rooms that meet provincial standards for the eventual provision of long-term care for its residents. Le Chez-Nous is recognized as an excellent home for seniors, where residents can continue to speak the language of their choice at all times, and can continue to experience their Acadian culture and heritage, while living in their community, close to family and friends.
The Evangeline region radiates the Acadian culture of its people. It is equipped with the Evangeline Recreation Center, parks, trails, wharves and numerous festivals and events celebrating arts and culture.
As a community arena, the Evangeline Recreation Centre hosts minor field hockey, figure skating, all levels of competition and Andrews Hockey School. The arena operates from September to May each year. In summer, it hosts festivals and events, as well as a youth floor field hockey league.
The facility has a full gym, and a hall is available to the community for meetings, birthday parties and other events for young people and seniors.
Club members enjoy 80 to 100 km of scenic trails. These trails take in the magnificent scenery and forests of the region.
Club members participate in club-sponsored activities throughout the season. Some of these activities are fundraisers for the club, while others are just for fun. The club also organizes fund-raising events to benefit the community. Join a race and explore the trails with the club's guides; it's a great way to make sure you reach the best scenic spots.
Club 4-H Évangéline is part of the national youth organization 4-H Canada, and is a family- and community-based organization dedicated to the development of young people by encouraging them to become responsible members of society. They help young people "learn to do by doing" in a safe, inclusive and fun environment, providing leadership and life skills development opportunities while promoting agricultural awareness. The heart of the 4-H movement lies in its clubs. 4-H clubs are made up of 4-H members and trained, screened volunteers who act as club and project leaders. 4-H focuses on learning, skill-building and self-confidence, through club projects, camps and conferences.
For four days, family, friends and visitors from far and wide take part in the many activities of this festival inaugurated in 1970. Several thousand people flock to Abram-Village the first weekend in September, during the Labour Day vacation, to take part in the Exposition agricole et le Festival acadien de la région Évangéline.
The Evangeline Bluegrass Festival takes place every year in July. It features high-caliber bluegrass musicians over three days of festivities. People are always invited to bring their musical instruments to participate in open mic and jamming sessions.
The Clammin' & Jammin' Festival takes place in September and features an evening of tastings and cooking demonstrations hosted by a renowned chef. The menu features a variety of clam and seafood samplings - including oysters, mussels and seafood chowder - as well as traditional dishes. And there's plenty to keep you entertained - music, chef competitions and more.
The Festival de la chanson du Grand Ruisseau is organized by the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel. Held in September, the festival is a celebration of song. Each edition of the festival includes training workshops and a variety of shows.
The Evangeline Country Music Festival takes place over 3 days in October. Programming includes country music shows featuring some of Prince Edward Island's finest country music artists. Two evenings of "Legends of Country Music" shows feature some of the Island's most popular country music artists, from both east and west, paying tribute to the great stars of country music.
The Route 11 Festival is a bilingual festival named after Prince County's 65-kilometre coastal highway that stretches from Summerside to Mount Pleasant: Route 11. This Island folk festival welcomes visitors and Islanders alike to a four-day celebration of good food, great music, amazing art, and Acadian joie de vivre at Union Corner Provincial Park in Prince Edward Island.
The Fédération culturelle de l'Île-du-Prince-Édouard (FCÎPÉ) is a provincial organization that brings together organizations and individuals who adhere to its mission. Their mission is to ensure and maintain the ongoing cultural and artistic evolution of Prince Edward Island's Acadian and francophone community. The Fédération encourages and supports, by all available means, its member-organizations and/or artists in their endeavours to ensure that the cultural vitality of the francophone community is manifest. Its activities focus on the following four areas of cultural development: awareness, creation, production and dissemination.
The Mont-Carmel Summer Concert Series is organized by the Coopérative de développement culturel et patrimonial de Mont-Carmel. Not only does this series offer visitors and locals evenings of typically Acadian entertainment, it also allows them to discover and rediscover many of our Canadian artists. The Mont-Carmel Summer Concert Series takes place every year in July and August.
The Village musical acadien offers a variety of cultural activities throughout the year. These include dinner theatres, cabaret evenings and more. The center's outdoor space includes a small performance space with an interactive learning space and a hall of fame, an art gallery and, outside, a stage and charming terrace. In addition, the center also features a reception area with gift store, outdoor stage, concert hall, restaurant, bakery, kitchen and restrooms.

Residents of the Evangeline region get around mainly by car, bike or on foot. However, there is a province-wide rural public transit service, as well as cab services.
Transit PEI is a province-wide rural public transit system. It operates Monday to Friday on provincial highways, with services and connections in Georgetown, Montague, Souris, St. Peter's, Rustico, Summerside, Borden, O'Leary, Alberton, Tignish and Charlottetown.
Evangeline Taxi offers services in the Evangeline area. Old Town Taxi and United Summerside Taxi operate in the Summerside area (the closest city to the Evangeline area).

The Evangeline region includes the municipalities of Wellington and Abram-Village and Lots 14, 15 and 16. In all, there are 17 small rural villages. These "musical villages" are of great importance to our tourism positioning, as we are renowned for our traditional music, in which the violin plays a key role. Music is omnipresent in each of our "musical villages".
